Russia vs USA Live on ESPN and ESPN3: Altidore starts

(Sporting Alert) — The United State men’s soccer team will take on Russia in an international friendly game at the Kuban Stadium in Krasnodar on Wednesday.

Game is Live on ESPN2, ESPN3.com and Univision Deportes @ 10 a.m. ET.

Forward Jozy Altidore returned the starting line-up after getting a recall to the side and will start with Herculez Gomez and Joshua Gatt in the attacking line.

With Clint Dempsey and Landon Donovan out of the contest, the experienced in midfield will be vital for Jurgen Klinsmann’s side. Michael Bradley and Jermaine Jones along with Daniel Williams will provide that support while veteran goalkeeper Tim Howard leads from the back.

Russia have been impressive under new manager Fabio Capello and will be a handful for the USA at home.

Goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev is amongst the substitutes, while Igor Denisov, Roman Shirokov and Alexander Kerzhakov are all starters.
