INDIANAPOLIS — Domantas Sabonis scored 25 points and the Indiana Pacers beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 119-99 on Thursday to improve to 4-1 on the new season.

Sabonis, who shot 10 of 14 from the field and made both his 3-point attempts, also had 11 rebounds and seven assists for the Pacers, who led 57-51 at halftime.
Reserve forward Doug McDermott added 18 points and nine rebounds off the bench, Malcolm Brogdon had 17 points, five assists and three steals and All-Star guard Victor Oladipo finished with 16 points, eight assists, four rebounds, and two steals for Indiana, which connected on 16 3-pointers in the win.
Collin Sexton led the Cavaliers (3-2) with 28 points on 12 of 19 shooting, and point guard Darius Garland added 21 points with five 3-pointers and five assists in the defeat.
Andre Drummond grabbed a fifth successive double-double on the season with 11 points and 13 rebounds, while Larry Nance Jr. ended with 10 points, five rebounds, and two steals for Cleveland, which shot 12-for-23 from long-range and made 37 shots on 22 assists.
After a bright start to the game, the Cavs fell behind by double digits in the second half and the visitors were unable to comeback from the large deficit.
Myles Turner had 14 points, seven rebounds and four steals and Aaron Holiday hit three 3-pointers in his 12 points for the Pacers, who were playing the seventh of their first nine games at home.
