Smalling, Young start for Manchester United, Bent misses out for Villa

(Sporting Alert) — Chris Smalling starts again for Manchester United in today Barclays Premier League clash against Aston Villa at Villa Park.

The England defender recovered from an injury start in the Champions League win for United in midweek and following the injury to Jonny Evans, he has called on again to start this time with Rio Ferdinand.

Michael Carrick and Paul Scholes start in the midfield, while Ashley Young also returns to start on the wing with Antonio Valencia on the other side.

As expected, Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney lead the attack with Javier Hernandez, Danny Welbeck, Tom Cleverley and Anderson all starting on the bench.

Darren Bent didn’t recover in time to make this game for Aston Villa. Gabriel Agbonlahor, Christian Benteke and Andreas Weimann are leading the line.

Manchester United: De Gea; Rafael, Ferdinand, Smalling, Evra; Valencia, Carrick, Scholes, Young; Rooney, van Persie.
