Sports stars congratulate Usain Bolt on Twitter

LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Usain Bolt’s 100 metres winning performance to take gold and set a new Olympic Record at the London Games on Sunday was well celebrated by popular sports stars on Twitter.

The Jamaican superstar sprinter who owns the world record, established himself as the world’s fastest man once again when he broke his own Olympic record by clocking 9.63 seconds to win the gold medal and defended his 100m crown.

Following the race, a host of sports superstars, including the likes of Serena Williams, the American star tennis player, Manchester United’s Rio Ferdinand, Chelsea’s Juan Mata, took the time to offer their comments and congratulations to Olympic legend.

Rio Ferdinand: “What a character Bolt is, guys throwing shapes pre race… can’t imagine a football player doing that before the biggest game of their life!’

‘Wow, Usain Bolt… out of this world type athlete! The 100metres final is the best sport to watch in the Olympics…’

There were congrats also from Vincent Kompany, who said: “Nothing more needs to be said, time to all accept Bolt’s supremacy.’
