Spurs, Warriors Pick Up Wins: NBA Scores On Jan. 27

SAN ANTONIO, TX, Sporting Alert – The final scores and recaps from the NBA games that were played on Wednesday night, January 27. There were victories for the Spurs and Warriors.

FINAL SCORE: WARRIORS 127, MAVERICKS 107

Klay Thompson poured in a season-high 45 points to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 127-107 win over the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA on Wednesday night in Oakland, Calif.

Thompson, who made seven 3-pointers on the night, shot 14-of-20 from the floor, went 10-of-10 from the free throw line, while grabbing five rebounds and two blocks for the Warriors (42-4), who overcame a sluggish first half to improve to 22-0 at home this season.

The shooting guard was collecting his second 40-point game this term and the sixth of his career for Golden State, which ended the third quarter on a 12-3 run to take a 95-77 lead into the fourth.

Reigning MVP Stephen Curry recovered from a slow first half to finish with 14 points, nine assists and three steals, while Harrison Barnes added 13 points and Draymond Green ended with 10 for Golden State, which shot 58 percent from the floor and out-assisted the Mavericks 33-20.

Chandler Parsons led the Dallas Mavericks with 23 points and seven rebounds, J.J. Barea finished with 14 points and five assists off the bench, and Deron Williams and Raymond Felton each added 12 points for Dallas ((26-22), which handed the Warriors their second loss of the season on Dec. 30.

LaMarcus Aldridge collected 25 points and 10 rebounds, and the San Antonio Spurs extended their winning streak at home with a 130-99 victory over the Houston Rockets in the NBA on Wednesday night.

Aldridge, who scored just five points in the defeat to the Warriors on Monday night, was 9-of-13 from the field on Wednesday, while dishing out five assists as well for the Spurs (39-7) who have now won 25 straight at the AT&T Center this campaign and 34 consecutive dating back to last season.

Danny Green made six 3-pointers on his way to scoring 18 points to go with six rebounds, Kawhi Leonard also added 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting and 3-of-4 from 3-point range, while Boban Marjanovic grabbed a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Spurs, who were rebounding from their worst loss in three years.

Houston was led by James Harden, who scored 20 points and Dwight Howard added 13 and eight rebounds for Houston (25-23), which had its three-game winning streak snapped.

San Antonio shot 55.6 percent from the field and 52.2 from 3-point range.
