The game sees the injured centre-back Laurent Koscielny missing out with the knee problem, so club captain Thomas Vermaelen comes into the side to partner Per Mertesacker.
Tomas Rosicky also starts in midfield alongside Mikel Arteta, while Nacho Monreal Santi Cazorla and Mathieu Flamini all start on the bench, but Jack Wilshere is suspended.
Chelsea, meanwhile make seven changes from the side that suffered defeat in the English League Cup at Sunderland, with Petr Cech, Fernando Torres, John Terry, Branislav Ivanovic and Eden Hazard all coming back into the side.
However, Ashley Cole has been left on the bench.
