STARTING TEAM: Bayern Munich v Arsenal LIVE! Scores

MUNICH (Sporting Alert) — Barclays Premier League side Arsenal made five adjustments to the team which lost to Bayern Munich in the Champions League last-16 first leg tie for tonight’s game.

Coming in are goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski, Carl Jenkinson, Kieran Gibbs, Tomas Rosicky and Olivier Giroud, with Wojciech Szczesny, Thomas Vermaelen, Bacary Sagna, Jack Wilshere and Lukas Podolski.

Midfielder Jack Wilshere, forward Podolski and defender Sagna are all injured.

Wilshere and Podolski are both out with ankle injuries, while Sagna has a knee problem and will not feature. Defender Nacho Monreal, who transferred from Malaga is ineligible for the contest, and Szczesny is rested.

Wenger said on Arsenal.com: “Wilshere is out with an inflamed ankle, on the [left side], not the [right side] where he was injured [before] and he will be out for three weeks.

“He will not be available for Munich, for Swansea and not for the England games.

Bayern Munich, in the meantime, are without midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger and defender Jerome Boateng, who are both suspended, while midfielder Franck Ribery is ruled out with ankle ligament damage.

Former Chelsea winger Arjen Robben, as expected replaces the injured Franck Ribery, with Bayern Munich making two changes to the side that beat the Gunners 3-1 at the Emirates in the first leg.

German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is out suspended.
