(Sporting Alert) –The following list contains the Barclays Premier League leading goal scorers following Saturday and Sunday round of fixtures.
Swansea City forward Michu, who many are already labelling as the Premier League’s transfer of the season, leads four players – all strikers – who have already scored in double figures this campaign.
Michu, who admits he left Spanish side Rayo Vallecano and moved to England to help reduce the club’s financial debts, netted his 13th league goal of the season in the 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday.
That unmarked tap in now makes him the outright leading goal scorer in the Premier League after coming in levelled on goals with Robin van Persie
He is followed by van Persie of Manchester United who has 12 goals in the English League since moving from Arsenal in the summer, while Luis Suarez (Liverpool) and Demba Ba (Newcastle United) both have 11 goals so far.
Fernando Torres (Chelsea) moved his tally to seven goals after his strike in the Blue’s 8-0 win over Aston Villa, while Steven Fletcher (Sunderland) (8) and Romelu Lukaku (West Bromwich Albion) (6) all improved their tallies.
