(Sporting Alert) — Zlatan Ibrahimovic led a stunning comeback for Sweden in a 4-4 come from behind draw with Germany on the road on Tuesday night.
Down 4-0 after 56-minutes of football, the Swedes stunned to home fans with four second half goals to seal surprising point in the World Cup qualifier.
Veteran striker Miroslav Klose gave Germany an early lead with two quick goals in the eighth and 15th minutes of play before Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker found the back of the net again prior to the half-time break.
Real Madrid midfield playmaker Mesut Ozil added another to make the score 4-0 before Sweden’s stunning comeback.
Captain Ibrahimovic blasted home a header in the 62nd minute to make it 4-1 and then Mikael Lustig and Johan Elmander both added goals to make it 4-3.
The all important equaliser came from Rasmus Elm, who blasted home in the 90th minute from inside the box to take the score to 4-4.
