O’Neill, looking to freshen things up has decided to hand James McClean his first start in four games, with the winger replacing the injured skipper Lee Cattermole.

Cattermole aggravated a knee injury he was carrying during the 0-0 draw with QPR in midweek and is set for a long spell on the sidelines.

Craig Gardner and Sebastian Larsson and Steven Fletcher all retained their starting places, with several calls being made for Adam Johnson and Stephane Sessegnon to lift their game and help push the club forward.

With his team playing well at the moment, Chris Hughton named an unchanged Norwich City side from the team which drew 1-1 at Southampton on Wednesday night.
