SWANSEA (Sporting Alert) — After an exciting come from behind 2-2 draw with Newcastle United on Monday, Everton will look to steal all three points against Swansea City in their Barclays Premier League game at The Liberty Stadium on Saturday.

However, manager David Moyes will have to do with forward Nikica Jelavic, who is out injured.

The Croatian goalscorer is suffering from a knee and shin problems he sustain during a collision with a post early in the Newcastle game.

He seemed to have shaken off the injury as re-entered the pitch, following treatment. He was, however, substituted later in the first half.

Everton will also be without midfielder Darron Gibson, as the former Manchester United player is still recovering from a thigh strain.

The likes of Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines, who have both been in good form this season will be expected to carrying on with those forms.

Moyes men beat Swansea in both games last season and also held them from scoring conceding.

The hosts in the meantime, will be hoping to bounce back from the 2-0 defeat against Aston Villa last week.

Manager Michael Laudrup will be checking on some of players, who were nursing injuries before the game.

Those with knocks are Ashley Williams (ankle), Jonathan de Guzman and Danny Graham (both ankle), Leon Britton (illness).

Pablo Hernandez and Ki Sung-yueng could be handed Premier League starts.

The main man for Swansea will be Michu, who has made a blistering start to the season so far and England and Everton defender Phil Jagielka believes he has to be watched.

“Obviously Michu has come in with a bang and made a good impression,” Jagielka said.

“He’s their top goalscorer but not a lot of people knew an awful lot about him at first, which can make him harder to play against when you can’t study him too much on the videos.

“Luckily we can study what he’s done already since the season started and we’ll be prepared. It’ll be an interesting battle but if we can keep him and a few others quiet, hopefully it’ll be job done.”
