LIVERPOOL (Sporting Alert) — Marouane Fellaini has recovered from an injury and starts for Everton in today’s Merseyside derby against Liverpool at Goodison Park.
Also coming into the Everton side is Steven Naismith, who is replacing the suspended Steven Pienaar.
Forward Nikica Jelavic, who has been in good form starts up front as well, with Kevin Mirallas starting in midfield.
Seamus Coleman retains his place at right back, but Sylvain Distin is preferred to John Heitinga in the heart of the defence.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Brad Jones keeps his place between the posts, although regular first choice Pepe Reina has returned from a hamstring injury.
Glen Johnson, who sustained an injury to his back in the Europa League in midweek is replaced at left-back by Jose Enrique, while teenagers, Raheem Sterling, Andre Wisdom and Suso all made the starting XI.
Stewart Downing, who scored the winner in Europa League action in the week starts on the bench.
