Stoke-on-Trent (Sporting Alert) — Tottenham will be searching for a victory that would keep them in the hunt for a Champions League place next when they take on Stoke City at Britannia Stadium here on Sunday.

Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas made two adjustments to the side which drew 2-2 in midweek with Chelsea, with Steven Caulker coming in for Benoit Assou-Ekotto in back and Clint Dempsey replacing Lewis Holtby in midfield.

Emmanuel Adebayor, who scored in midweek keeps his place in the attack alongside Gareth Bale, while midfielder Mousa Dembele has recovered from a hamstring muscle problem to be on the bench with Jermain Defoe and Gylfi Sigurdsson, who netted the equalizer against Chelsea.

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis makes one change from the team that played to a 1-1 draw with Sunderland last week with Matthew Etherington returning for the first time in over a month. He replaces Cameron Jerome, who was dropped to the bench.
