TEAM NEWS: Wayne Rooney Starts – Wolves v Manchester United

(Sporting Alert) — Wayne Rooney has recovered from a knock he picked up during the Europa defeat last week and will start for Manchester United in their Barclays Premier League clash against Wolves.

The England international, who was doubtful for the game up until yesterday, starts in the attack with Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez.

Returning to the starting line-up also is winger Antonio Valencia, who has recovered from an injury, while Ashley Young is back on the bench.

Paul Scholes starts for Manchester United as well, while Chris Smalling, Ryan Giggs and Paul Pogba are all on the bench. There was no Dimitar Berbatov.

Meanwhile, Kevin Foley has come in as a replacement for Jamie O’Hara for Wolves, while Roger Johnson has been left on the bench.
