(Sporting Alert) — USA basketball team will look for another victory in their warm-up Olympic Games schedule when they take on Great Britain on Thursday.
USA viewers can watch the game live on ESPN2 and ESPN3.com start at 2:00 PM ET
Team USA is coming off a close very over Brazil, following a blowout win over the Dominican Republic in the first game, and is hoping to fit somethings before the London Games starts later this month.
Head coach Mike Krzyzewski has been shuffling his line-ups and the Duke University and national boss could very well change things up once again for tonight’s game, as he seeks the right possible combination to get the team off to a fast start.
One thing is for sure, Krzyzewski is desperate to avoid another weak start like the one his USA men did against Brazil before LeBron James took over once again to finished with 30 points and pushed the team to a win.
Team USA are now in England for the Games and Krzyzewski believes this signals it’s time to get started.
“It’s good to be in England. Once you leave the United States, it’s time to get going,” the coach said.
Speaking ahead of the Great Britain clash, Krzyzewski said: “We’ve watched some tape. (They are a ) very good shooting team. They rely a lot on the 3-point shot.
“Luol (Deng) obviously is a world-class player but (Joel) Freeland and (Dan) Clark are outstanding scorers.
“Their guard play is solid — well conceived offense, and they have played well. They played well against France and against Spain. So, it will be a good contest for us.”
Meanwhile, besides James, the likes of Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala and Carmelo Anthony are all looking forward to get going.
