Terry, Lampard return: Basel v Chelsea starting XI, Live Football Scores

(Sporting Alert) — Chelsea made four changes to the team that drew 2-2 at Liverpool at the weekend for tonight’s Europa League semi-final first leg with Basel.

Captain John Terry and veteran midfielder Frank Lampard both start for the English Premier League side, with manager Rafa Benitez also recalling Ashley Cole.

Defender David Luiz moves into the midfield, while Victor Moses comes into the starting team as well.

Ryan Bertrand, John Obi Mikel, Oscar and Juan Mata all made way for the starters and are on the bench, with Striker Demba Ba ineligible.

Fernando Torres leads the attack.

Basel, in the meantime, made four changes also from the side that featured in the last outing. Philipp Degen, who played for Liverpool during his stint in the Premier League is amongst the starters tonight for Basel and Benitez knows all about him.

‘Philipp Degen was my player [at Liverpool] and is a good professional, a worker and enjoys playing football,” he said on www.chelseafc.com.

“They have some good young players and others with more experience.”

Meanwhile former Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt starts for  Fenerbahce against Benfica.
