Top Scorers in the English Premier League – May 2


LONDON (Sporting Alert) – The following are the leading goalscorers in the English Premier League, heading into this weekend’s fixtures of games.

Manchester United forward Robin van Persie heads the list of goalscorers in the EPL with 25 goals, following his penalty kick in the 1-1 draw with Arsenal over the weekend and he moves two goals clear of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, who is suspended for the rest of the season.

Tottenham winger Gareth Bale, who was voted the 2013 Footballer of the Year by the Football Writers’ Association on Thursday, to go alone with his Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards, is third on the list with 19 goals, while Christian Benteke (Aston Villa) has 18.

The top five top scorers in the EPL this season is completed by Michu of Swansea City, who has 17 goals in the campaign thus far.
