Torres starts for Spain vs South Korea: Live

(Sporting Alert) — As expected, Fernando Torres has been handed a starting place for Spain in tonight’s EURO 2012 warm-up clash against South Korea at Stade de Suisse Wankdorf.

However, Spain manager Vicente del Bosque has again decided to leave out Barcelona trio Xavi Hernández, Sergio Busquets and Andres Iniesta from his squad – opting to give them more recovery time.

Manchester City playmaker David Silva starts in the attack with Torres, who is also accompanied by Juan Mata.

Liverpool’s Pepe Reina has been handed the starting gloves, with Real Madrid No. 1 Iker Casillas starting the game on the sub bench.

Spain won the last game 2-0 against Serbia.

The World Cup champions will also face China in their last warm-up game.
