Universal Sports to stream Lausanne and Paris Diamond Leagues

Justin Gatlin wins U.S. Trials 100m

Los Angeles  – Universal Sports Network will air exclusive national television coverage of the IAAF Diamond League from Lausanne, Switzerland on Thursday, July 3, at 2 p.m. ET LIVE, and Paris, France on Saturday, July 5, at 2 p.m. ET LIVE.

In addition, universalsports.com will live stream both races to authenticated users.

This Thursday in Lausanne, American record holder Tyson Gay is scheduled to compete in the 100m against Justin Gatlin – who is undefeated and owns the four fastest 100m times this season.

Gay, the 2007 world champion over 100m and 200m, will be making his first appearance in nearly a year after testing positive for a banned substance last summer.

Joining Gatlin and Gay in Switzerland are 15 Olympic and world champions including Olympic Gold Medalist Kirani James and World Champion LaShawn Merritt. The latter two are scheduled to go head-to-head in the 400m for the second time this season following James’ victory over Merritt in a photo finish at June’s Prefontaine Classic in Oregon.

On Saturday in Paris, Olympic silver medalist Michel Tinsley and decathlete Ashton Eaton are scheduled to compete in the 400m hurdles alongside an exciting field in the women’s 100m hurdles featuring Americans Dawn Harper Nelson and Lolo Jones, and Australian Sally Pearson.

A bevy of decorated sprinting stars are also expected to compete including Asafa PowellShelly-Ann Fraser-PryceAllyson Felix and Tori Bowie.
