(Sporting Alert) — A top clash Belgium side that includes the likes of Vincent Kompany and Marouane Fellaini will take on the United States in a friendly international at Columbus Crew Stadium tonight.
Manchester City captain Kompany leads a stellar back line, which also involves Thomas Vermaelen, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld and that’s just a small part of the side.
In midfield is Everton’s Fellaini, who has been strongly linked with Manchester United, club teammate Kevin Mirallas, Mousa Dembele, Steven Defour and the young star Kevin De Bruyne.
Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku, who spent the season banging in goals, including a hat-trick against Manchester United on the final day of the EPL, during his loan spell with West Bromwich, leads the attack.
Aston Villa frontman Christian Benteke, who was also in good goalscoring touch this past season is on the bench, but there is no Eden Hazard, who has been rested.
Meanwhile, the United States, looking for goal scoring options, starts with a team that includes Tottenham’s Clint Dempsey and Jozy Altidore, who hit a rich scoring form with AZ Alkmaar this past season.
Brad Davis also starts as the search for goals continues, while Stuart Holden is back and is on the bench.
There is no Michael Bradley though tonight.
