Both teams are coming off solid wins – Brazil beating Denmark 3-1 and the Americans hammering Scotland 5-1, with striker Landon Donovan scoring his third career hat-trick for the U.S. side.
Five-time World Cup champion Brazil got a brace from Hulk, who again will start Wednesday night.
Mano Menezes used a number of young players against Denmark, but promised to change things up a little bit against the United States.
One name for sure that will be in the starting team is Santos forward Neymar, who missed the win against Denmark because of commitments with his club.
“I will keep most of the group that beat Denmark, but I will make small changes as I want to see other players,” said Menezes.
“The target is to keep up the same good level we showed last Saturday.”
Menezes guided Brazil to a 2-0 win over USA in his debut game in August 2010 and his side will start favourite to win again.
However, American coach Juergen Klinsmann is confident his team can put on a good showing and build on the victory from Saturday.
“In [the game against Scotland] we managed to impose our rhythm,” said Klinsmann. “Midfielders made good combinations and the forwards had an outstanding performance.
“We want to improve in every aspect that we’re working on, and see what our real level is against one of the best teams in the world. We’re making big progress.”
