The home side dominated the fixture at Camp Nou from the get-go, as the attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar combined to reach a milestone of scoring 100 goals together in all competitions this season, reports FC Barcelona.

This breakdown sees Messi netting the most, as expected, with 48 goals, with Neymar scoring 32 and Suarez, who joined the club from Premier League side Liverpool last summer, adding 20.

On Tuesday night against Getafe, Messi contributed two goals, with Suarez also scoring a brace.

Neymar found the back of the net once, while veteran Xavi added a stunning curler to round out the scorers on a gifted day for Barcelona, who moved to 84 points from 34 games.

Messi gave Barcelona the lead with a cheeky penalty kick in the 9th minute of play before Suarez provided an impressive finish in the 20th minute to make it 2-0.

Neymar and Xavi then score in quick succession before Suarez made it 5-0 five minutes before the half-time break.

The likes of Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Ivan Rakitic, Andres Iniesta and Javier Mascherano all started on the bench tonight for the La Liga leaders, while Jordi Alba wasn’t involved at all.

Barca are ahead of Madrid in the race for the La Liga title, with Real, which has played one game less, sitting second on 79 points heading into their game on Wednesday.

Barcelona starting XI: Bravo, Alves, Bartra, Mathieu, Adriano, Busquets, Xavi, Rafinha, Suarez, Messi, Neymar. Subs: Ter Stegen, Montoya, Mascherano, Rakitic, Sergi Roberto, Iniesta, Pedro

Getafe starting XI: Guaita, Alexis, Lago, Velazquez, Lacen, Arroyo, Pedro Leon, Baba, Juan Rodriguez, Freddy, Emi. Subs: Lopez, Naldo, Escudero, Vigaray, Astray, Selma, Ivi.
