The Manchester United and Bayern Munich target completed his hat-trick with goals in the 8th,50th and 55the minutes before scoring a fourth from the penalty spot in 67th minute of play.
Cristiano Ronaldo had netted to pull Real Madrid level two-minutes before the half-time whistle, but Borussia Dortmund were too strong for the Spanish giants on the night.
This marked the second successive nights that German sides crushed Spanish La Liga teams in the Champions League, following Bayern Munich’s 4-0 thrashing of Barcelona in Tuesday night’s first semi-final.
“I think the best team won, they deserved to win,” Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho said on www.realmadrid.com after the game.
“They won all the individual battles and their game was very intense. We struggled when they pressed us. They played a good match all round and we did not respond individually or as a team.”
At the same time, Mourinho is still not giving up at turning this around at home.
He said: “We can turn around the tie.”
He added though that: “I saw one team superior to the other, with more physical and mental aggression. We all agree that the best team won.
“My feeling is that every goal came from a mistake and there were others that the goalkeeper had to make tough saves against, and I am unable to see from the bench whether the second goal was offside, or if the penalty was one or not.
“We lost the ball and when you don’t make good use of it in the first phase it is difficult.”
