Suarez, while playing for Uruguay against Chile in Santiago on Tuesday, was captured throwing a push in the direction of Jara’s face which sparked several headlines in the media.
After watching the video footage, it appears that FIFA will be looking to take action, but will wait on game referee Nestor Pitana, who took no action, to give submit his game report.
It was not the first time Suarez has been in the hot-water with the football governing body and Liverpool striker could very well be punished if found guilty.
A statement on Wednesday from FIFA said: “We are still collecting all the post-match reports, since the officials have got 24 hours to send them.
“Based on the mentioned reports, FIFA will proceed accordingly.”
Chile beat Uruguay 2-0 in the game with Esteban Paredes and Eduardo Vargas scoring the goals.
