LOS ANGELES (Sporting Alert) — LA Lakers’ Metta World Peace has been ejected for a flagrant foul type 2 on Oklahoma City Thunder’s James Harden, who was badly shaken up from the blow late in the second quarter.

World Peace – immediately after making a driving dunk from a Andrew Bynum assists – the Lakers star threw a wild flashing elbow, which crashed in the side of the head of Harden, who went down under the blow.
After a long wait and reviews from the referees, World Peace was ejected and left the court under a huge cheer from the stands, while Harden went back for a check up in the locker room.
Harden in the meantime, came back out of the locker room late, but the Thunder team doctor says he has been cleared to play in the second half after he passed all the necessary tests, following the blow.
He did, however, said he’s still suffering from headache pains and wasn’t sure if he would play again this evening.
World Peace left the game with 12 points from 4-of-10 shooting and five rebounds and three steals in his 18 minutes of playing time.
The forward is expected to get further punishment his action on Sunday.
