BARCELONA (Sporting Alert) — The Brazilian right-back Dani Alves took part in Barcelona’s training session on Monday, after picking an injury in the team’s last outing.
The attacking Alves picked up a knock on his left thigh in the win over Real Zaragoza and complained of a slight sore muscle over the weekend.
However, he joined his teammates for Monday’s training session and is expected to play against Getafe on Tuesday.
In the meantime, centre-back Gerard Pique is still recovering from a thigh problem and he trained separately.
Barcelona will have a final training session ahead of the clash behind closed doors at the Camp Nou.
Juan Valera scored the winner for Getafe in a 1-0 win in December, but the predictors believe Barcelona will have to problem returning the favours on their home turf.
Barcelona are currently four points behind Real Madrid in the La Liga table standings and win would cut the gap to just a single point.
