MANHATTAN (Sporting Alert) — An intense college basketball rivalry will go down tonight when No. 3 Kansas University and No. 11 Kansas State take the court.
The game will take place at the Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan and the fans are already getting into it.
The clash could be important in the race for first place in the 2013 Big 12 conference and even the students are bracing for the clash.
“These are the games that makes us support college basketball so much,” said a travelling Kansas University student.
- Dating back to when KSU’s Bramlage Coliseum opened for the 1987-88 season, Kansas holds a staggering 22-2 record against Kansas State in tonight’s venue.
- Meanwhile, Kansas State is the third ranked team KU has faced in 2012-13. The Jayhawks are 1-1 against ranked foes with a 67-64 loss to then-No. 21/22 Michigan State (1/13) at the Champions Classic in Atlanta and won at then-No. 7/7 Ohio State, 74-66, on Dec. 22.
