KINGSTON (Sporting Alert) — Olympic sprint double champion Usain Bolt will compete over the 400-metres at the 2013 UWI Track and Field Invitational in Mona.

Bolt, who repeated as the Olympic 100m and 200m champion in London last summer, races over 400m for the second time this season after opening his term over the distant in February.
Also set for the 400m dash is Bolt’s training partner Yohan Blake, who finished behind him in London over both the 100m and 200m.
Edino Steele, Allodin Fothergill, Josef Roberson, Markino Buckley and Ricardo Chambers. Riker Hylton and Javere Bell are also entered in the men’s quarter mile race.
Olympic women’s 100m champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce will also take part in the one lap event as she continues her preparation to take on her rivals in the sprint double at the IAAF World Championships later this year.
Rosemarie Whyte and Sherone Simpson will join her in the event.
