MIAMI, FL, Sporting Alert – Ohio State continues to be the No. 1 college football team in the latest AP top 25 rankings in Week 10, as the top seven places are unchanged from last week.
The Buckeyes (8-0) were inactive this past weekend as well, following their bye week, but still lead the nation after getting 39 first-place votes from the panel and collecting 1465 points.
Baylor, which was inactive at the weekend, stayed second in the latest rankings, while receiving six first-place votes for 1408 points.
The Bears are 7-0 on the season and remain one of the teams leading the race for a College Football playoff spot.
Clemson, which beat NC State 59-41 in Raleigh on Saturday, also received six first-place votes from the panel, as they stated undefeated with an 8-0 record.
Many college football pundits and analysts think the Tigers deserve to be No. 1 in the poll.
LSU (7-0) are grounded at No. 4, while collecting five first-place votes and 1346 points, while No. 5 is TCU (8-0).
Michigan State (8-0) remains No. 6, sitting steady at No. 7 is Alabama (7-1), but Notre Dame (7-1) leaped over Stanford (7-1) in 8th place, with the Cardinal dropping one spot to No. 8.
Iowa (8-0) is still at No. 10, Florida (7-1) stays No. 11, with Oklahoma State, Utah, Oklahoma and Memphis, which moved one spot up, completing the top 15.
The newcomers in this week’s AP Top 25 college football rankings are North Carolina (7-1), which moved to No. 21, with Texas A&M (6-2) returning to the top 25 at No. 25.
Falling out of the rankings in Week 10 were Duke 22 and Pittsburgh 23 after they suffered defeats in Week 9.
