BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS – ESPN Caribbean will broadcast live and exclusive coverage of the West Indies second Test match against New Zealand from Dec 10-14 at 4:20 p.m. (EST) from Dunedin, New Zealand.
In fact, all matches on tour will streamed live on ESPN Play (www.espnplay.com) – ESPN’s multiscreen live and on-demand broadband platform in the Caribbean. The coverage will also be streaming live on: ESPN3.com online. Also Live on: Sky Sport NZ. Also Radio Sport New Zealand.
The West Indies, lead by an impressive double century from top order batsman Darren Bravo, miraculously pulled off a draw in the opening Test match last week, after heavy rain forced a premature end on the final day.
On Wednesday (Tuesday evening Caribbean time), both teams will be in action again in the second Test and visitors are hoping to carry over the fight from their last innings into this match.
“[The performance in the first Test] has done a lot for the team,” said Windies captain Darren Sammy. “It was good to see us batting for long periods.
“It’s been a long time since we have batted more than 150 overs in any innings, much less the second innings.”
He added: “It will give the individual players confidence that they can go out there and get the job done when they have been put under some serious pressure. We handled it quite well and it has given us more confidence going into this Test.”
West Indies tour, which runs from December 2, 2013 until January 15, 2014, includes three Tests matches and five One Day Internationals (ODIs).
The tour culminates with two Twenty20 (T20) fixtures which will serve as the precursor for the Windies’ title defence of the I.C.C. World Twenty20 trophy, which will be broadcast exclusively by ESPN Caribbean in March 2014.
A 16-man Test squad, led by Darren Sammy, has been announced, with the West Indies limited overs squad, captained by Dwayne Bravo, still to be named.
