(Sporting Alert) — Striker Robinho starts on the bench this afternoon for AC Milan in their Champions League clash against Zenit St Petersburg in Group C at Petrovski Stadium.

Fellow striker Giampaolo Pazzini also joins the Brazilian on the bench, alongside Mathieu Flamini and Philippe Mexes.

Amongst the starters today for the Italian side are Nigel de Jong, Riccardo Montolivo, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Stephan El Shaarawy.

Former Barcelona forward Bojan is also in the attack as manager Massimiliano Allegri look to take three points from the game.

AC Milan are sitting third in the group on one point, following their goalless draw with Anderlecht in match day one.

Zenit, in the meantime, are sitting last at the moment in the group after losing 3-0 to a very confident Malaga side on the opening fixture.

Big money summer signings, Axel Witsel and Hulk, are yet to deliver for the Russian side and the coach is hoping things will kick-in today.
