World No. 1, American Tiger Woods will miss the tournament after failing to recover from an injury, but there are still lots of good players going for the title the likes of Phil Mickelson and Rory McIlroy expected to lead the way.

Nevertheless, this year’s Masters competition is still considered “Wide Open.”

“You’ve got guys that are coming here for the first time, like Patrick Reed or Jordan Spieth, that I’m playing with the first two rounds,” said McIlroy, “and they are going to stand on the first tee Thursday and think, ‘I’ve got a great shot at winning this tournament.’”

The first round action will see defending champion Adam Scott teeing off at 10:41 a.m. EST, and he has been paired with Jason Dufner and Matthew Fitzpatrick.

Rory McIlroy goes off at 10:52 a.m. and is with Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed

Mickelson, who is with Ernie Els and Justin Rose tees off at 1:48 p.m.
