Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, Clemson Stay Top 4 In CFP Rankings

College Football Playoff Rankings Top 25

NEW YORK, Sporting Alert – The top four teams remain the same in the latest College Football Playoff Top 25 Rankings on Tuesday night.

Alabama returns at No. 1 and it is followed by Ohio State, Michigan and Clemson.

With Louisville losing last week, it paves the way for Washington to slide back into the running, moving up one place to No. 5, while Wisconsin is up one spot to No. 6.

Penn State, Oklahoma, Colorado and Oklahoma State all moved up one spot to complete the top 10 and remain in the hunt for a College Football Playoff semi-final place.

Louisville, which was hammered by Houston last Friday night, dropped six places No. 11, with USC, Auburn, Florida State and Florida rounding out the top 15.

It was surprising, though, to see USC out of the top seven as the Trojans and Alabama have been playing perhaps the best football in recent weeks.

USC hammered then-No. 4 Washington 26-13 and UCLA, 36-14

Nebraska, Tennessee, West Virginia, Boise State and Houston are 16 through 20.

The other five teams are Western Michigan, Utah, Washington State, Stanford and Navy.

LSU (16) and Texas A&M (25) dropped from rankings this week.
