BROOKLYN, NY (Sporting Alert) — All-star point Tony Parker will not play for the San Antonio Spurs when they play against the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center on Thursday night.
Parker did not return for the Spurs in the double-overtime victory at Washington on Wednesday, after leaving the contest at halftime with tightness in his lower back, and the club says he will miss the Nets clash with the back spasms.
San Antonio, which is already without Manu Ginobili and Kawhi Leonard, named Marco Belinelli and Nando De Colo is in the starting lineup, while Tim Duncan, who scored a season-high 31 points and pulled down 11 rebounds Wednesday, is also rested.
Meanwhile, Joe Johnson, Andrei Kirilenko and Andray Blatche will all play tonight, says club head coach Jason Kidd.
