Carter-Williams scores 26, Sixers top Bulls, 107-104

Philadelphia, PA (Sporting Alert) — Rookie Michael Carter-Williams scored 26 points and added 10 assists and three steals and the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Chicago Bulls 107-104 at Wells Fargo Center Saturday night to start the season 3-0.

Evan Turner added 20 points, including the two late go ahead free throws, while Spencer Hawes, who hit another late jumper, finished with 18 points and 11 for the Sixers (3-0), who had also beaten the Miami Heat and the Washington Wizards before the win over the Bulls.

Carlos Boozer paced the Chicago Bulls (1-2) with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Luol Deng ended with 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the defeat for the visitors who blew a 20-point lead.

Derrick Rose, still bothered by his sore neck problem, went 4 of 14 from the floor and finished with 13 points and six assists, but he committed eight of his team’s 18 total turnovers.

Also contributing for Philadelphia were Thaddeus Young, who had 13 points and seven boards and Tony Wroten, who finished with 11 points.
