MIAMI, FL — College football bowl schedule on Saturday, Dec. 23 and you can stream them live on WatchESPN, ESPN3 and watch live on ESPN.
Three bowl games are listed on the fixtures, with the opening contest for the day starting at 12 pm ET and is followed by 3:30 pm and 7:00 pm later kickoffs.
At Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama, South Florida and Texas Tech will battle in the Birmingham Bowl.
The Bulls (9-2) are making their third straight bowl appearance and ninth overall. USF, which is 2-0 all-time at Legion Field in bowl games, makes its second successive trip to the Birmingham Bowl, having beaten South Carolina 46-39 in overtime last year.
“You get a chance to go play a Power 5 from the Big 12 Conference,” South Florida coach Charlie Strong said. “You’re going to get national exposure again, and we need to go out and play well.
“It’s a good way to end the season.”
Meanwhile, Texas Tech (6-6) will be making its 38th bowl appearance in program history.
However, it will be the Red Raiders’ first since falling, 56-27, to LSU in the 2015 Texas Bowl.
Speaking ahead of the game Texas Tech coach Red Raiders coach Kliff Kingsbury said: “I think they can match up well with anybody when you talk about speed and athleticism.
“They can play with anybody in the country, there’s no question about that. So we’ll have our hands full. We know that.”
The other two bowl games on Saturday will see San Diego State (10-2) and Army (9-3) at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, TX, for the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl, while the Dollar General Bowl will feature Appalachian State vs. Toledo at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
