College Football ESPN3 Live Streaming WK1 on Sep. 5

The following are the list of NCAA college football games streaming live on ESPN3 and WatchESPN on the opening weekend of fixtures on Saturday (5).

Highlighting the list of games is the clash between No. 3 Alabama and No. 20 Wisconsin, which will be streaming live on ESPN3 starting at 8:07 pm ET.

The game, which is one of 16 contests involving teams currently in the Top 25 rankings, will be played at the AT&T Stadium, the home of NFL side Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, Texas.

There have been a lot of trials and tests leading up to the season opener, but Alabama head coach Nick Saban believes his squad is ready to put that all behind them come Saturday night.

All eyes will be on the field to see whether the Crimson Tide have found players ready to step up and replace some big names who have departed, including the likes of Amari Cooper, Blake Sims and TJ Yeldon.

“This game is what this team has worked all offseason for,” the experienced and versatile head coach said.

“We’ve talked a lot about establishing an identity, and now is the time to create the identity of this team.”

The Crimson Tide which finished with a 12-2 overall record last season and went 7-1 in SEC league fixtures, will start favourites to get their 2015 campaign with a victory, but Saban believes it will be a tough battle.

Wisconsin, which returns a number of players on both offense and defense, leads the series 1-0, but will be seeking to win their first game away from home against a Top-3 side in 30 years.

“This is obviously a very good team that we are playing; they won 11 games last year,” Saban said. “They’ve got a significant number of starters returning, including five or six on offense and five or six on defense.

“They have their quarterback back and their runner, even though that wasn’t their star, he gained almost 1,000 yards a year ago.

“Wisconsin has a couple of offensive linemen, good tight ends, and they are a very, very good defensive team, one of the top defensive teams in the country.”

Alabama will try to extend its impressive record at opening the season on neutral grounds. This will be the sixth time under Saban that the club will open at a neutral site and the program has won each of the previous five such matches.

Also streaming live on ESPN3 on Saturday, No. 15 Arizona State will take on Texas A&M at the NRG Stadium in Houston.
