STILLWATER, OK, Sporting Alert – ESPN3 live college football streaming, Top 25 fixtures and TV Channels for Week 13 on Saturday, November 28.
The focus of the attention this weekend will come from the Big Ten and the Big 12, with conference titles and college football playoff spots on the line.
In the Big 12, No. 3 Oklahoma will look to take care of business when they travel to Stillwater to battle with No. 11 Oklahoma State in the Bedlam.
The other game of interest in the Big 12 was played on Friday night between No. 7 Baylor and No. 19 TCU in Fort Worth, Texas, and the result there didn’t quite help the league.
Host TCU secured a double overtime win, which knocked the Bears out of the race for the Big 12 title, but more importantly killed another Big 12 team’s CFP shot.
At the same time, though, this now means that the winner of Saturday’s game between city rivals Oklahoma and Oklahoma State will lift the conference title.
In addition to that, a win for the Sooners (10-1, 7-1 Big 12 ) over the Cowboys (10-1, 7-1) would see them cementing a place in the college football playoff semi-final, given that they currently sit a No. 3.
A defeat for Bob Stoops’ side, though, could result in another CFP shutout for the Big 12 as it would be difficult to see the Cowboys moving all the way from No. 11 to a top four spot without some serious help from those around them.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma is expected to have leading quarter Baker Mayfield and star running back Samaje Perine available for the game after the pair practice throughout the entire week after they were injured in last week’s narrow victory over TCU.
“Baker Mayfield and Samaje Perine practiced all week,” Stoops said in a statement. “And (running back) Joe Mixon has practiced every day since Wednesday.
“All three are expected to play (Saturday).”
In the meantime, after putting away Ohio State last weekend, Michigan State will look to complete the regular season schedule with another victory when they take on Penn State.
The Spartans (10-1, 6-1 Big Ten) lead the Big Ten East and are just a win away from clinching the division and earning a place in the Big Ten Championship game.
However, a defeat to the Nittany Lions (7-4, 4-3 Big Ten) would see the winner of the clash between defending national champion Ohio State and Michigan, taking on Iowa for the Big Ten crown and surely a college football playoff place.
Elsewhere, in another selected college football fixtures on Saturday, No. 1 Clemson (11-0) will battle with South Carolina (3-8), No. 2 Alabama (10-1, 6-1 SEC) has an interesting matchup with Auburn (6-5, 2-5 SEC), while No. 6 Notre Dame (10-1) and No. 9 Stanford (9-2, 5-1 Home) will face-off.
