Derrickson, Warriors Beat Lakers 77-71, Improve To 3-0
SACRAMENTO -- Marcus Derrickson collected an impressive double-double and the Golden State Warriors beat the Los Angeles Lakers 77-71 to improve to 3-0 in the Sacramento NBA Summer League on Thursday.
Derrickson finished with 24 points on 8 of 19 shooting with four 3-pointers, and grabbed 11 rebounds to go with four steals and a block to lead the way for the Warriors.
Omari Johnson added 15 points on 6 of 10 shooting, Gian Clavell made four of his 10 shots for 10 points and J.P. Tokoto pulled down nine rebounds for Golden State, which play the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday.
Josh Magette was held to just four points and three steals.
Warriors Top Kings, 71-54 In NBA Summer League
Moritz Wagner was the top contributor for the Los Angeles Lakers with a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Xavier Rathan-Mayes added 14 points with eight assists and five rebounds off the bench, Nick King scored 13 and Jeffrey Carroll had 11 off the bench as well for the Lakers, who was losing for the third straight time at the Sacramento NBA Summer League.
