BIRMINGHAM (Sporting Alert) — England won the toss and will bat first against Sri Lanka in the fifth and deciding One Day International game at Edgbaston, in Birmingham.
Both England and Sri Lanka are unchanged from the sides that played in the fourth ODI, with Sri Lanka off-spinner Sachithra Senanayake selected to play despite being reported for a suspect bowling action.
“It looks a really good pitch, won’t change much,” England captain Alastair Cook says after winning toss.
Sri Lankan skipper Angelo Mathews says he would have also batted first as well had he won the toss, but did noted that his side was confident about batting second as well.
