MANCHESTER, Sporting Alert – ESPN3 will stream live UEFA Champions League group stage games on opening day on Tuesday, September 15.

ESPN3.com will provide live stream of the Galatasaray vs Atletico Madrid, SL Benfica vs Astana, VfL Wolfsburg vs. CSKA Moskva, Sevilla vs Borussia Monchengladbach and PSV Eindhoven vs Manchester United all live online, while the games can also be watched live on several tablets via the WatchESPN app.

The game between Manchester United and PSV will be available in Spanish at ESPN3, but live English coverage will be on FoxSoccer2Go, FoxSportsGO and Fox Sports 1 USA.

The Red Devils go into the game without captain and leading striker Wayner Rooney, who has not recovered from a hamstring injury he suffered in training last Friday.

Rooney missed the 3-1 victory over Liverpool in the English Premier League last Saturday, and the man who replaced him, Marouane Fellaini is expected to continue up front.

Manager Louis van Gaal could also hand summer signing Anthony Martial his first start after the 19-year-old netted on debut as a substitute against Liverpool.

English Premier League leaders Manchester City will take their 100-percent record this season into the Group D clash with Serie A champions Juventus at the Etihad Stadium.

Man City, who have won all five of its Premier League fixtures this season will entertain the Italian champions and last year’s Champions League beaten finalists without leading forward Sergio Aguero, but David Silva and Raheem Sterling, who both missed the win at Crystal Palace with injuries, returned to training and are available.

With Aguero out, it’s likely Wilfried Bony is the man to lead the attacking line for the Citizens.

Former Manchester United players Patrice Evra and Paul Pogba will return to England to face their ex-club’s arch rivals and the pair are looking forward to get the tournament off to a winning start.

Also in action in the Champions League on Tuesday are Real Madrid, with the in-form Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored five goals in La Liga at the weekend, expected to continue his scoring touch when he comes up again Shakhtar Donetsk at the Bernabeu.

Elsewhere, Atletico Madrid travel to take on Turkish champions Galatasaray, which have the likes of Wesley Sneijder, Lukas Podolski and Burak Yilmaz on its roster.

Forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who picked up a knock while on international duty last week, is set to make his return to action for Paris St Germain against his hometown club of Malmo FF.

ESPN 2 will be broadcasting this game live on television.
