Follow live blog and result updates from the opening 2021 Wanda Diamond League meeting, which gets underway with the Muller Grand Prix in Gateshead on Sunday. Live streaming coverage will begin at 12:55 pm ET with the women’s high jump.

The meeting will stage 14 Diamond League disciplines – the 100m, 400m, 1500m, 100m hurdles, high jump, triple jump and shot put for women, and the 200m, 1500m, 5000m, 3000m steeplechase, pole vault, long jump and javelin for men.
A number of global gold medallists are among those heading to the Gateshead International Stadium, which is hosting a Diamond League meeting for the first time since the series’ inaugural year in 2010.
Diamond Trophy holder Dina Asher-Smith will be kickstarting her title defence on home soil against a star-studded women’s 100m field, while international stars such as Mondo Duplantis, Jakob Ingebrigtsen and Mariya Lasitskene also take their first steps on the road to the Zurich final on September 8th and 9th.
