Winning the toss and electing to bat first, the West Indies were bowled out for just 234 from just 78 overs, with Marlon Samuels hitting a top score of 65 and Shivnarine Chanderpaul making 36.

Mohammed Shami was the leading bowler for India with four wickets for 71 runs off 17 over.
