Port of Spain, Trinidad – Early semi-finalists Jamaica and Guyana will do battle in the final Zone A contest at the NAGICO Super50 2014 tournament at Queen’s Park Oval on Saturday to see who will come out on top of the group.
Ireland and the Windward Islands, the other two teams in the group are already out of the competition.
In both teams’ final group match, the battle for first spot takes centre stage. Traditionally in sports, with such a system, it is believed that topping your group allows you to have an ‘easier’ game in the semi-finals, as the winner faces the second placed team from the other group.
That is what is on the line in the final match of Group A.
Jamaica and Guyana are on nine points each after two matches, but Jamaica lead the with a better Net Run Rate.
