NCAA Baseball Live On ESPN3 on May 20; #1 LSU In Action

(Sporting Alert) -- The following are the list of NCAA baseball games taking place on Wednesday, and streaming live on ESPN3, WatchESPN and the SEC Network.

Amongst the teams in action on the day is No. 1 LSU and they will take on Auburn in a Southeastern Conference Tournament clash at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.

LSU (46-9) come into the battle as the top-ranked team in the country, and the newly crowned 2015 SEC regular-season champion.

The Auburn Tigers (35-22) are the ninth seeded team in the SEC tournament and come in on the back of a 6-3 victory over the eighth-seeded Kentucky on Tuesday in a first-round elimination battle.

LSU hold the upper hand heading to the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, having won two of three meeting against Auburn during the regular season.

Their 46 wins this term is ranked third-highest for a regular-season total in club history and head coach Paul Mainieri, now in his ninth year, hopes those performances can carry over into the postseason.

"Our goal is to have the best postseason we can possibly have, and that includes playing well in the SEC Tournament," Mainieri said on the school's official website at www.lsusports.net.

"It's a great event, and our players really embrace the opportunity to compete against the outstanding teams in our league.

"We had a tremendous regular season, and we're looking forward to the opportunity to continue that success in the postseason."

Auburn coach Sunny Golloway said after winning against Kentucky in the eliminator, the confidence in his squad is now at a different level in preparation to face the No. 1 program.

"I think our guys did a great job competing (against the Wildcats)," Golloway said.

He added: "Don't you want to play the No. 1 team in the country? We do."

Elsewhere, on Wednesday, No. 24 Arkansas take on No. 7 Florida (SEC Baseball Tournament), No. 8 Miami (FL) play No. 25 Virginia in ACC Championship pool play round.
