MIAMI, FL, Sporting Alert – ESPN3 schedule for Week 11 of the NCAA College Football on Saturday, November 12.
The No. 2 ranked Clemson and the third-ranked Michigan are among the top teams with games streaming on the ESPN family of networks this weekend.
Clemson (9-0) enters what is expected to be its toughest opponent remaining on the regular season when it entertain’s Pittsburgh at Memorial Stadium.
The Tigers start with a 91.7 percent chance to beat Pitt, according to ESPN’s Football Power Index, with the Panthers (5-4) suffering their second back-to-back setbacks of the season coming into this fixture.
Clemson has won 46 straight against unranked opponents and will try to extend that streak and stay in the hunt to earn one of the College Football Playoff slots later this year.
Despite having a more quiet term than in 2015, quarterback Deshaun Watson has the Tigers rolling towards yet another undefeated regular season and the junior all-rounder has been praised by Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi.
“He’s special, obviously,” Narduzzi said. “I don’t know if he’s still up for the Heisman or how politics go there, but he’s a great football player.
“They are undefeated. He leads their offense.
“Deshaun is not only an excellent thrower, but he’s got a strong arm and throws darts. But he’s got the run threat, too. Kaaya really didn’t, even though he scrambled on some third-down passes to gain yards last week.
“This guy is a threat on every down to beat you with his arm and beat with you his feet. That’s going to change some things for you on defense.”
This game is live on ESPN3, starting at 3:30pm.
The ESPN3 schedule for Week 11 also sees No. 3 Michigan looking to stay undefeated this season when the Big Ten leaders battle against conference rivals Iowa at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City.
The Wolverines (9-0) have a 91 percent chance to improve to 10-0 this term, according to ESPN’s Football Power Index, as they go up against the Hawkeyes, who are coming off back-to-back defeats against ranked teams in the last two fixtures.
Also on the ESPN3 schedule this weekend are No. 10 Penn State and No. 11 Oklahoma.
The improving and exciting Nittany Lions are at Indiana, while the Sooners face the Baylor Bears in a high-quality Big 12 fixture at Memorial Stadium in Norman.
In College Football Playoff and AP Top 25 action, No. 1 Alabama entertains a very confident Mississippi State team, No. 4 Washington and No. 20 USC meet at Husky Stadium in Seattle, while No. 5 Ohio State are at Maryland.
The Crimson Tide are rolling at the moment, but know their undefeated record this season will be tested at Bryant-Denny Stadium by the visiting Bulldogs, who are coming off a big win over college football play-off then-No. 4 Texas A&M.
Alabama head coach Nick Saban admits that he’s expecting another “difficult games” on Saturday.
“Dan (Mullen) has done a great job there for a lot of years,” Alabama coach Nick Saban said.
“We’ve always had some really difficult games, and that will be our expectation in this game.”
Saban added: “It’s pretty obvious with their win over Texas A&M how good they are playing right now.
“Their quarterback has played really well for them all year.
“He’s kind of the center of what they do in terms of how much he runs the ball and his effectiveness as a runner, as well as being a very effective passer.”
