Netherlands 3-1 Bulgaria: World Cup Qualifying Live Stream, Scores

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, Sporting Alert — The starting lineups and live stream for the FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifying first round Group A match between Netherlands and Bulgaria.

Scoring Summary and Updates

  • Goal Scorer: Davy Propper (80′)

The Netherlands have their two goal advantage again after Davy Propper headed home a Quincy Promes cross in the 80th minute of play.

  • Goal Scorer: Ivelin Popov (69′)

After waiting an hour for a second goal, we have gotten two goals in two minutes as Bulgaria pulled within one of Holland. Ivelin Popov scored from a free kick in the 69th minute to make it 2-1.

  • Goal Scorer: Arjen Robben (67′)

Arjen Robben has doubled the lead for the Netherlands after he slid in to deflect home a cross from left-back Daley Blind in the 67th minute of play.

  • Goal Scorer: Davy Propper (7′)

Davy Propper tucked home a Daley Blind cross from close range past goalkeeper Plamen Iliev in the seventh minute to give the Netherlands a 1-0 victory over Bulgaria who usually lose on the road. Holland need a win and this is a proper way to start things off.

Both teams enter this game in need of a victory to stay within touching distance of the current leaders, especially the Netherlands who were flogged 4-0 by France in the last outing on Thursday.

That defeat left the Dutch team fifth in the standings behind France, Sweden and their opponents today.

A win for the Netherlands would see them moving above Bulgaria and into third place.

Meanwhile, the Bulgarians scored an important 3-2 victory over the Swedes on Thursday for their fourth victory of the qualifiers and they will be hoping for another win, which could see them moving up to second if results from other games go their way.

Stanislav Manolev and Georgi Kostadinov who both netted first half goals in the win over Sweden in midweek, start again for Bulgaria with the other scorer, Ivaylo Chochev also keeping his place.

Despite failing to beat the French goalkeeper in the last outing Vincent Janssen, Quincy Promes and Arjen Robben will lead the Netherlands attack again.

However, Robin van Persie, who was a second half substitute in that game is not in the match day squad.

Former Manchester United forward Memphis Depay is among the subs again along with his former clubmate Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Bruno Martins Indi, as well as veterans Wesley Sneijder and Maarten Stekelenburg.

Daley Blind, Davy Propper, Stefan de Vrij and Georginio Wijnaldum all start.

Watch Live Streaming on WatchESPN and ESPN2 will have live TV coverage.
