Sun Devil were initially scheduled to face No. 2 Baylor in the regular season tournament opener here, but the Bears decided to withdraw after head coach Scott Drew announced that he tested positive for COVID-19 last Friday.

The winner of this game will take on the winner of the clash between No. 3 Villanova and Boston College in a championship game Thursday night. Nova and Boston is slated to tip-off at 9:30 pm Wednesday night.

Wednesday night’s season opener marks the fourth meeting between Rhode Island and Arizona State, with the Sun Devils looking to stay perfect in the series after winning the previous three matchups.
However, the most recent meeting between the two clubs was on Dec. 3, 1988, which went to Arizona State, 99-87 win.
