Manchester United are well set to sell Paul Pogba this summer, while a club great, Cristiano Ronaldo has again been linked with a move back to Old Trafford, according to reports in England.
Time Up For Unhappy Paul Pogba At Old Trafford?
The future of Pogba as a Manchester United player continues to be at the forefront with his agent Mino Raiola recently stating that it is time for the France midfielder to leave the English Premier League club.
Pogab has only started five Premier League games for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season after recovering from Covid-19 and he even suggested that it has been difficult sometimes for him during his comeback from the virus.
However, the outspoken Raiola, who has been seeking a move for Pogba since the beginning of the summer, said the player is not happy at Manchester United and needs to move elsewhere to “express himself” in the way that he wants to.
Pogba’s contract with the Red Devils runs until June 2022, but Raiola warns that the club would be taking a big gamble keeping the World Cup winner that long.
“There’s no point beating about the bush. It’s better to speak out clearly, look forward and avoid wasting time to find culprits,” Raiola said, speaking to Tuttosport.
“Paul is unhappy at Man Utd, he can’t manage to express himself like he wants to and like people expect him to.
“He needs to change team, he needs a change of scenery. He has a contract that will expire in a year and a half, in the summer of 2022, but the best solution for all parties is a transfer in the next (summer) window.”
Ronaldo Returning To Manchester United?
Meanwhile, while Pogba looks well set to leave the Old Trafford setup, one of the club’s icons, Cristiano Ronaldo has been strongly linked with a move back.
According to the Daily Mail, Ronaldo could be on his way back to Manchester United and the English Premier League club’s shirt sponsor Chevrolet is reportedly willing to help finance a move.
Ronaldo had six very successful years at Old Trafford before moving to the Spanish La Liga to join Real Madrid.
During his six seasons with the Red Devils, the Portugal captain scored 118 goals in 292 appearances. He won three Premier League titles, three domestic cups, the Champions League plus the first of his five Ballon d’Or awards.
The 36-year-old left Real Madrid for Juventus in July 2018.
