OKLAHOMA CITY, Sporting Alert – The scores and recaps from the NBA preseason contests that were played on Friday night, Oct. 9.

OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER 111, FENERBAHCE ULKER 81

OKLAHOMA CITY — Kevin Durant continued his return from a broken leg in February with another solid performance to help the Oklahoma City Thunder beat Fenerbahce Ulker 111-81 in a preseason game Friday night.

Durant, playing in his first home game since February, scored 13 points on 6 of 10 shooting, while adding five assists, four rebounds and two steals in 22 minutes.

Dion Waiters, who shot 6 of 9 from the floor, including 3 of 3 from long-range, led the way with 19 points off the bench, with point guard Russell Westbrook adding 16 points, five assists and three steals in his 22 minutes of action.

Enes Kanter, who made way for Steven Adams in the starting lineup at center, had 11 points and seven rebounds in a reserve role, with Mitch McGary inserting an 11 points and seven board performance.

Adams ended with 10 points and eight rebounds for the Oklahoma City Thunder, who was scoring over 100-points for the second time this preseason.

Jan Vesely scored 17 points to lead Fenerbahce Ulker, while Ali Muhammed had 13 off the bench.

Kostas Sloukas and Nikola Kalinic each scored 10 points.

Oklahoma City Thunder held their Turkish opponents to 37.5-percent from the field and limiting them to just 2 fast break points.

NEW YORK KNICKS 115, WASHINGTON WIZARDS 104

WASHINGTON — Carmelo Anthony scored 21 points and shot 10 of 15 from the floor and the New York Knicks beat the Washington Wizards 115-104 in a preseason battle at Verizon Center on Friday night.

Anthony, who is making his return from a knee operation, added four assists and four rebounds and played 25 minutes.

Derrick Williams, scored 13 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter to lead the way for New York in a reserve role, with Kyle O’Quinn adding 14 points and 10 rebounds off the bench as well.

Jose Calderon scored 10 points and seven assists for the Knicks to win its second straight preseason game.

Marcin Gortat led the way for Washington Wizards with 15 points, with John Wall finishing with 13 and Bradley Beal adding 12 points, and eight rebounds.
